Termessos & Duden Waterfalls Tour
Located in a dramatic setting, Termessos is the ancient city that even Alexander the Great was not able to conquer, partly because of its location at a high altitude, and partly because of the fighting spirit of its citizens. These days it is a protected site, situated within the Güllük Dağı National Park and is a great place to visit for the day. Escape the city with this day tour which explores the ruins of Termessos and marvel at the beauty of the magnificent Duden Waterfalls.
You will be picked up from your hotel and then your Termessos and Duden Waterfalls tour gets underway as we drive to the ancient Psidian city of Termessos, located at an altitude of 1,000 metres on the side of Solymos Mountain.
As we explore the ruins of this ancient city, you will delight in the beautiful natural surroundings which include lots of rare plant species and dense pine forests.
Some of the sights you will see include the lower city walls, the impressive Greek style theatre which had a capacity of approximately 4,000, temples, and a fire lookout tower.
We will then continue to Duden Waterfalls which cascades in an impressive fashion from the rocky cliff tops. Here you will be able to explore around the falls and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The formal part of your Termessos and Duden Waterfalls tour concludes at the end of our visit to the waterfalls.
We then drive back to Antalya where you will be dropped back to your hotel.
