Tour starts: Pick up from your Antalya Hotel at approximately 8am, depending on the location of the your hotel (please note that hotels located in outlying beaches may attract an extra pick up fee)
Our first stop is Perge, one of the biggest ancient cities in Anatolia, and former capital of Pamphylia. As you stroll through Perge, it is easy to imagine what life was like in ancient times for the 100,000 people who lived here. Our visit will include the ruins of the theatre, stadium, baths stadium and collonaded street.
You will notice that the Stadium, which could seat 12,000 people, has a wall to protect spectators during the wild beast fights that took place here.
We then drive to the site of Aspendos, which has a the most perfectly preserved Theatre in the Roman world, with an estimated capacity of 15,000 back in the day. Today it continues to be used for ballet and operat performances and song contests. Also of note is the ancient Aqueduct which is an engineering marvel.
When we have finished our tour we will drive back to Antalya where you will be dropped back at your hotel.
